Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information handled by University City Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. The service is a private reference to public-record access routes and directory collections in University City, Missouri. It does not require an account and does not maintain a visitor record file.

Information You Submit

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that delivers the result. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When a visitor sends us a message, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.

Automatically Collected Data

Hosting systems create routine logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate for site maintenance and readership trends. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.

How Limited Data Is Used

We use limited operational data to run the service, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.

External Websites

Links may lead to St. Louis County or Missouri records portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. Their own policies control information submitted there. Sponsored results are likewise supplied by another company and are governed by that company’s practices.

Who Processes Data

Providers that host or support the service process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose data only when required by valid legal process.

Safeguards and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no user accounts, so University City Residents Directory does not hold visitor passwords or account profiles.

Visitors Under 18

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.

Your Information Choices

Depending on where a visitor lives, laws may provide rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. The official Missouri sources reviewed did not establish a statewide universal consumer-privacy or data-broker deletion right. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Missouri, St. Louis County, or University City custodians are outside our control. Requests about those records go to the proper custodian under its procedure, including the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo §§610.010–610.028, where applicable.

Policy Updates

We will post any revised policy here. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of the revised policy.
